PUGIN BICENTENARY CELEBRATIONSThe Pugin Bicentenary Celebrations is a programme of community-led projects organised and co-ordinated by Urban Vision to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the inspirational Gothic revival architect, AWN Pugin. Urban Vision has worked with the Cheadle Tourism Group and local partners to secure the funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund West Midlands, from the Communities Mean Business Leader Programme, part of the Rural Development Programme for England, and from a group of local sponsors and supporters to create a programme of events, tours, lectures, and other communities activities featuring Pugin's legacy in North Staffordshire. For further details about the Pugin Bicentenary programme of events and activities click here. |

DESIGN REVIEW PANELUrban Vision continues to hold design review panel meetings, calling on the expert panel we have built up since 2004. The loss of public subsidy means that the Panel now meets when required, rather than every month. In 2011-12 the panel met four times to consider five schemes from across North Staffordshire. The recently adopted National Planning Policy Framework requires local authorities to have arrangements in place for local design review. To arrange a design review panel meeting please contact us.
